Example of 3d environment based off of vector art concept. Because vector art uses ramps of color, creating a very small 256 x 256 texture and stripping UV patches on top of each other is possible. The trade off being a larger number of unique vertex in the scene but with scene sizes under 100k polygons this can be a very effective method of keeping run time performance, overall / bundle install size down while maintaining a true artistic representation of the original concept.
